I went for the teeth whitening procedure. What a terrible experience! The so called oral hygienist was new, so I was made aware after the fact. After 6 minutes with the bleach and UV light I was in agonising pain, burning.
I pulled it out immediately and told the lady that this is not normal. After a few minutes my gums, lips entire inside area was full of white blisters. I was horrified. She simply told me I was too sensitive for the procedure. On the contrary I said as I have done this procedure twice before!
She then proceeded to make me gargle with cups of miltons, when I questioned are you sure I should gargle with that, she said yes. Hold it in your mouth for as long as you can then spit out, I couldn't gargle anymore, my tongue was about to fall off. I asked her to call the Dr/dentist. He then started cleaning out my mouth with saline then flouride, whilst apologising and telling me the lady was new!
The oral hygienist then proceeds to ask  me to sign the indemnity form whilst I'm lying there in pain. I asked what for ? She says for the treatment. I told her you don't expect me to pay and accept this prodecure for R4000 when you've burnt my mouth and made me swollow Milton's.
They apologized and asked me just to pay the consultation of R650.
The most unprofessional experience of my life. I now sit with a swollen tongue and gums and raw blisters throughout my mouth.And obviously no white teeth.

This was one of the worst experiences
1 when making the appointment the receptionist advised that check up was R350 and cleaning R800 odd ended paying up R1 650
2 when arriving for my appointment the receptionist didn’t acknowledge me and when i said I’m there for an appointment they said please sit. I had to ask them for a form to complete and that is questionable
3 the dentist lady was very kind, i’ll give her that. She said i had a cavity in my front tooth and asked if she can fix it i said sure but then that ended up a R1 000 without consulting i probably should have asked since it appears that’s how they work
4 the cleaning was horrible it felt like my teeth were being grinded instead of cleaned
5 she thus proceeded with fixing the cavity, the injection to numb, numbed my entire face not just my mouth
6 she filled the cavity after drilling the cavity away and this is where the true horror begins. After i could finally feel my face i realised that the “fixed” tooth wasn’t smoother out at the back so i had nice sandpaper for my tongue
7 the front of the tooth had a little hill on top
8 there was no gap between the “fixed” tooth and the one next to it
9 please keep in my mind that i did tell the dentist that i am terrified of dentist due to a root canal that was done wrong. The next day i go back and ask them to fix it. Sure no issue. Great. She checked and i had to show her the massive hill on my tooth. She filed it down and it hurt like crazy. Went back again after a few minutes aa my tooth still felt like foot shaver.
10 today 4 days later my tooth is still not properly fixed there is no wat in hell i’m going back there
11 i still have little ridges between my tooth where floss gets stuck
12 and i have tooth ache from hell itself

If you want an expensive round with no result this will be the place to go. Extremely disappointed and in pain and dissatisfied and out of R2 650 with a crap tooth and pain

Good service but poor communication. I came for service, there was an issue with payment that I was not aware of. Instead of them communicating it to me, I found out via letter of demand when no adequate means had been made by them to inform me of this issue. Don’t come here if you have a budget in mind. They perform tooth fillings and other procedures without consulting you on if it’s included in your insurance or not. They just show you and do it without telling you anything. I don’t think dr  sithembiso mkhize Understands the concept of informed consent.
